The Simply Salad’s Shark Tank Pitch:
The Simply Salad is a cloud kitchen based in Ahmedabad that prepares and delivers a variety of healthy, delicious, and creative salads to people’s homes. They deliver different types of healthy, tasty, and creatively made salads to your doorstep. Their salads are protein-rich, high in fiber, low in calories and carbs, and low in fat as well. All their salads have an Indian touch added to them. They are available through weekly and monthly subscriptions and on Swiggy & Zomato.
The company started in August 2020 and has filled over 35,000 orders from their small cloud kitchen. They deliver a minimum of 80-90 orders per day, and this number is growing rapidly. Their vision is to make their salads widely available. One bowl costs ₹180 for weekly subscribers and ₹150 for monthly subscribers. Approximately 50 orders daily are from subscribers, while the rest come from Swiggy & Zomato. They make ₹4.42 million per month with a gross margin of 64% and a net profit of 47%. They plan to cover Ahmedabad first by opening 2 more cloud kitchens, which would grow their business 3X. Their business has been growing organically so far.
The Simply Salads Shark Tank Negotiations:
During a Shark Tank India episode, Aman and Vineeta made the entrepreneurs an offer that matched their requirements. Namita considered their offer excellent, but Anupam didn’t believe they needed investment, so he declined to participate. Peyush acknowledged their success but opted out due to the favorable offer from Aman and Vineeta. Ultimately, the entrepreneurs accepted Aman and Vineeta’s offer and closed the deal.
How is Simply Salad doing after Shark Tank India?
