Motion Breeze Shark Tank India Pitch:
Motion is an electronic vehicle startup that appeared in Season 1 Episode 8 of Shark Tank India. The company was founded in Vadodara, India, in 2018 by Anantraj Tomar and Shivrajsinh Tomar. The startup aims to solve one problem at a time through technology and innovation. They have patented technology that would transform the bike called Breeze according to the user with just one button.
Their designed bike “Breeze” has a top speed of 180 km/h and goes from 0-100 in just 6 seconds. The charging time is between 1-3 hours, and the range is about 250 km on a single charge. It also has a utility space. It is currently in the prototype stage, and the founders came to the show to seek funding to turn this prototype into a reality. They sought ₹30 lakh for 3% of the company.
Deepanbhai is also the mentor and investor in the company and has invested around ₹35 lakh in this venture so far for 27% of the company. The company wants to enter this market with three variants with pricing between ₹1.5 lakh to ₹3 lakh.
Motion Breeze Shark Tank India Negotiations:
Namita went out of the deal and said she wasn’t interested in the 4-in-1 concept and that she is a fan of specialized products. Aman went out, citing that there is a lot of competition, and the product is not yet ready. Anupam was excited about the industry but didn’t understand how the company would break into the high-end bike market, so he went out. Peyush goes out, citing it’s too early for him. Ashneer was interested in this and offered ₹30 lakh for 6% of the company, saying it was a non-negotiable offer. The company takes a moment to think and comes back and accepts that offer.
How is Motion Breeze doing after Shark Tank India?
Our research on Motion Breeze revealed that their Shark Tank India deal with Ashneer never closed after the show aired. While the reason for the deal falling through is unknown, we tried finding information on whether the company has launched the bike, and all results came back negative. It looks like the company tried other ways to raise funding but was not successful, and their bike was never able to go into production. Unfortunately, Motion Breeze is closed as of November 2023, and some of its founders have already moved on to different ventures.
