Kabira Handmade Shark Tank India Pitch:
Kabira Handmade is an Indian Startup which creates essential food products like Edible Oils, Spices, Flour & Dairy products with traditional methods. All their products are Natural and Organic. They sought an investment of ₹1 Crore for 5% of the company which values their business at ₹20 Crores. Interestingly, The company has a picture of martyr soldiers on their packaging which Peyush comments that he will copy this in his Lenskart business.
Kabira Handmade made ₹160 crores last year (FY20-21)in the parent company of their business with a gross profit of 3% and Net profit of 1% making them ₹2 Crores in net profit. Dr Manoj added that they have made ₹42 Crores in FY18-19 which was followed by ₹72 Crores in FY19-20. The founders added that the margins are low because of their offline distribution channel. Kabira handmade has done sales of ₹3 Crores in last 4 months.

Namita liked the purpose but didn’t like the margin therefore she went out of the deal. Peyush goes out citing he felt like the company didn’t need the investment and he couldn’t add value to this business either. Ashneer also commented on margins and goes out due to that. Aman follows Ashneer’s lead and goes out due to same reasons.
Anupam was interested in the investment but wanted to invest in the parent business. He offered ₹25 Lakhs for 10% of the company and rest as debt. Dr. Manoj declined the offer without ever consideration therefore Kabira Handmade leaves without the deal.
