India Hemp and Co Shark Tank India Pitch:

India Hemp and Co is an Indian startup which specializes in nutritious Hemp products. They sought an investment of ₹50 Lakhs for 4% of the company valuing their business at ₹12.5 Crores. They had 12 SKU’s at the time of pitch. Hemp products come with High protein content, Hemp is also high in fibre. Hemp also have complete amino acid profile. The founder added that in four spoons of their products, there is 27 grams of protein.

India Hemp and Co made ₹20 lakhs in last financial year which was FY20-21. They have done ₹13 lakhs so far in FY21-22 with the projections to close the year at ₹27 Lakhs. Majority of their sales comes from their own website. They are making around ₹3 Lakhs per month at the time of pitch.

India Hemp and Co Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:

Peyush went out of the negotiations as there wasn’t much he could help the entrepreneurs with in terms of technology. Aman wanted to offer and put a condition that Jayanti would not seek offers from other sharks after his offer which she refused.

Ashneer goes out because he added that there was not established market for this product. He also commented that it looks more like a Hobby rather than a business to which Jayanti responded that Ashneer said that because she is a women. This led to more discussion on this topic which got heated.

Namita and Aman discussed in the background to possibly give a joint offer but after that discussion about women is business, Aman goes out of the deal. Anupam went out because he thought the founder was distracted and Jayanti didn’t have a breakthrough strategy.

Namita didn’t agree with the other sharks and she offered ₹20 Lakhs for 10% and the rest as debt for 12% interest. Jayanti takes a moment to think and comes back to counter to which Namita says her offer is non-negotiable. Jayanti refused that offer and went out of the deal without the deal.
