Their USP is that they sell customizable products as well as creative designs that will be mass-produced.
Their products are manufactured in Nagpur and sold mainly through Instagram. They have made ₹1.3 lakh in sales in the past 4 months. They also have products that are sustainable and infused with tribal arts. They have around a 130% margin on some of their products. The company is completely bootstrapped at the time of the pitch.
Farda Shark Tank India Negotiations:
Ashneer thinks that the founders are driven by glamour but not by business, so he backs out. Peyush states that he is not interested in the beauty industry, therefore he also backs out of the deal. Aman wants to take a bet on the founders, and Namita comes along with that. Together they offer ₹30 lakh for 30% of the company. Anupam also wanted to offer, but he believed that Namita and Aman would be better partners, so he stepped out.
The founders take a moment to think and come back with a counteroffer of ₹30 lakh for 20% of the company. Aman wants to accept that, but Namita says she is going to stick to her initial offer, to which Aman responds that he is ready to go solo on this as well. The founders accepted, and they closed the deal at ₹30 lakh for 30% of the company.
Who are the founders of Farda?
Farda was founded by two 21-year-old entrepreneurs, Chahat Pahuja & Sanskar Mishra. They come from Nagpur city. They went to same college and had another business venture together before Shark Tank India.
How is Farda doing after Shark Tank India?
Our research into the company revealed that their Shark Tank India deal with Aman Gupta never finalized after the show. Farda’s founders shared on the Podcast Dukaan that they had more than 55 thousand people within 20 days after their episode aired. They added that they have also been receiving a constant number of orders, which proves that this growth is sustainable. All of this came without any marketing spending.
As of November 2023, Farda Clothing is still in business and growing. They have over 17 thousand Instagram followers and are growing with time. While the financials of the company are not yet available, we will update this article as soon as more information comes to light.
