Anthyesti is a one-stop solution for all post-death related rites, including freezer boxes, vans, funeral pandits, and Asthi Visarjan. They have conducted over 500 funerals in the last six years in 25 cities across seven different countries. The founder sought an investment of ₹50 lakhs for 2.5% of the company, valuing her business at ₹20 crores.
Anthyesti is working purely on an aggregation model for revenue. They have 35 competitors in this space. They closed the last financial year, FY 20-21, at ₹1.16 crores. Shruthi added that in their first financial year, FY16-17, they only made ₹12 lakhs. This was followed by ₹22.5 lakh in the following year. Their projected revenue for FY 21-22 is ₹2 crores. They have 50% margins and a net profit of 6%.

Peyush was the first shark to go out, and he liked the entrepreneur but didn’t feel like the business was investable. Aman shared the same sentiment; therefore, he goes out as well. He does, however, suggest that Shruthi should change the company’s name to something simpler so that it’s easier to suggest. Anupam commented that Shruthi is trying to solve a problem that is not even a problem; therefore, he goes out. Namita wasn’t comfortable in this industry; therefore, she goes out. Ashneer didn’t like the market as well; therefore, he goes out from the negotiations too, and Anthyesti went out of the tank without a deal.
