ROCCA Shark Tank India Pitch:
ROCCA is Nutty, Caramelly, Chocolaty bar which contains 50% roasted nuts. The bars come in four flavours, Almond, Berry, Coffee & Pistachio. Also the bars are melt-proof. Moreover, ROCCA is available through leading marketplaces, stores, vending machines and their own website. The founder’s vision is to make ROCCA India’s biggest premium chocolate brand and to fulfill this, they sought an investment of ₹60 Lakhs for 4% of the company valuing the business at ₹15 Crores.
ROCCA’s Financials & Revenue during Shark Tank India:
ROCCA raised their first valuation round of ₹1.15 Crores in exchange of 15% of the company valuing the business at ₹8.33 Crores in November 2022. They also closed another round in August 2023, where they raised ₹25 Lakhs for 2% valuing the business at ₹12 Crores.
ROCCA made revenue of ₹9.55 Lakhs in August 2023. Also, 47% of the total sales came directly from their website, 15% from marketplaces, 10% from vending machines & rest came from B2B sales. The company burned ₹3 Lakhs in August. In July 2023, They clocked in a revenue of ₹7.75 lakhs. The founders are projecting to close FY23-24 with revenue of ₹2.5 Crores.
For ROCCA’s unit economics, they have a gross margin of 60% which can be increased to 75%. 30% of revenue goes to marketing and 15% goes to shipping. ROCCA make all of their products with Dark Chocolate.
ROCCA Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Peyush goes out because he felt like its a very competitive market and the company would need a good backing. Aman goes out because he felt like it was priced pretty high for Indian market. Anupam goes out because he felt like this company didn’t had any unique proposition. Vineeta goes out citing the founders didn’t know their numbers.
Ritesh liked the entrepreneurs therefore he gives them an offer of ₹30 Lakhs for 2.5% of the company valuing the business at ₹12 Crores. Rest of the amount would be a debt at 9% interest for 3 years. The founders accepted that offer without any hesitation.
