Intervue Shark Tank India Pitch:
Intervue is an Indian startup that appeared on Season 3, Episode 2 of Shark Tank India. They are solving two problems for companies while hiring candidates. First is not having an available interviewer, and secondly, getting interviews done in a timely manner. The founders shared that they have several well-known tech giants on their platform which uses it to connect with engineers online and hire them from their platform Intervue. Candidates also get paid to do interviews.
Notably, Intervue has cut the time of average position fulfillment from 45 days to 7 days using Intervue. 7 out of 10 recommended candidates usually get selected. The founders sought an investment of ₹1.5 Crores in exchange for 1% of the company, valuing their business at ₹150 Crores.
Intervue has over 100 enterprises on their platform at the time of their pitch. The founders shared that they conduct over 500 interviews per day using their platform. They also claim to be the world’s fastest programming environment on the internet. Their software also helps prevent any cheating during the interview rounds. On average, an interviewer makes ₹60,000-₹70,000 per month. Additionally, the payment for conducting interviews is immediate.
Intervue Shark Tank India Financials:
Intervue made a revenue of ₹88 Lakhs in the Financial year 21-22. This was followed by an 888% growth as they closed the last financial year, which was FY22-23, at ₹8.7 Crores. The company is projecting to close this financial year between ₹13-15 Crores. They have already done a revenue of ₹4.2 crores till September 2023. Their net revenue after paying 40-50% to the interviewer is between 50-60%. They have conducted over 40,000 interviews since their inception.
Intervue raised their first round in February 2021 with Titan Capital, where they raised ₹88 lakhs at ₹7 Crores. This was followed by the second round in July 2022 where they raised ₹5 Crores at ₹120 Crore valuation. Their EBITDA was at 18% last year, and they would be at 5% this year.
Intervue Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Namita commented that she didn’t agree with Intervue’s business model philosophically. She also added that due to that this company would not get her business; therefore, she goes out of the negotiations. Vineeta loved the entrepreneur but felt like she wasn’t the right shark for this investment; therefore, she goes out of the deal.
Aman gives the first offer of ₹1.5 Crores for 2% of the company valuing the business at ₹75 Crores. Anupam gives the second offer of the same amount but for 3%. Deepinder was intrigued in this space and wanted to offer but Aman asked him to join hands with him rather than going solo.
Deepinder & Aman come together to give ₹5 Crores for 10% of the company. Aman would put is ₹1.5 Crores, and Deepinder would put in the rest. Deepinder also adds that this offer would be non-negotiable. The founder countered all three sharks to come together for ₹5 Crores for 4% equity as he said he would not be able to come under the valuation of their last round of $15 million valuation. Deepinder and Anupam go out after hearing that, but Aman offers ₹1.5 Crores for 2%, to which Rahul countered that with ₹1.5 crores for 3%, which Aman refused. After some perspective from other sharks, Rahul eventually accepted the deal of Aman Gupta.

Rahul Arora & Pushpinder Singh Rautela founded Intervue. Rahul is from Ludhiana, Punjab, and a software engineer by profession. Pushpinder is also a software engineer from Ghaziabad. They have known each other for 5 years and worked at PayTm together in the past.
How is Intervue doing after Shark Tank India?
Our research in the company Intervue revealed that despite the initial agreement on the Show, Their deal with Aman Gupta did not close after their pitch was shot. Despite that, The company’s episode was telecasted on January 23rd, and they are currently seeing growing numbers due to Shark Tank effect.
