Woloo is an Indian Startup which appeared on Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 35. The company operates on an aggregation model and locates the clean washrooms nearby and provides directions to them. All their washrooms are certified for hygiene and safety.
Woloo has 1,200 certified restrooms in Mumbai at the time of their pitch. The company’s revenue is based on subscriptions. The founders shared that Woloo is extremely asset-light and highly scalable and to fund this growth, They sought an investment of ₹50 Lakhs for 4% of the company valuing the business at ₹12.5 Crores.
Woloo’s Financials during Shark Tank India:
Woloo provides two subscription plans ₹99 per month and ₹365 per year. The company had 12,000 downloads at the time of their pitch 6,000 paid users and 4,000 monthly active users. Woloo has done a revenue of ₹23 Lakhs in last 3 months with ₹9 Lakhs coming in the last month.
Woloo Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Ashneer was the first shark to go out citing the problem is not solved yet on a platform level. Vineeta goes out due to the revenue model not being logical. Aman felt line the company hasn’t yet figured out their core model therefore he goes out as well.
Peyush commented that the problem is real but this solution is complicated therefore he goes out as well. Gazal goes out without giving any reason. Anupam felt like it would not be a successful business because google may take over this segment.
Namita gives the first and only offer of ₹25 Lakhs for 10% of the company and the rest as debt at 12% interest. She valued the business at ₹2.5 Crores. The founders take a moment to think and come back to counter at ₹35 Lakhs for 6% which Namita refused and the company walked out of the tank without a deal.
