C3 Med Tech Shark Tank India Pitch:
Med Tech is a smartphone-based portable and affordable solution for eye checkups. They appeared on Shark Tank India Season 1 Episode 32. The company has two devices, C3 Vision & C3 Fundus cam. Their products are compatible will all smartphones. The founders added that their devices are very user friendly and do not require many certifications to operate. The company’s vision is to give basic eye checkup services to all the population. The founders sought an investment of ₹35 lakhs for 6% of the company valuing the business at ₹5.83 Crores.
Med Tech devices can help diagnose Cataracts, Diabatic Retinopathy & Glaucoma types of diseases. The founders shared that they made 60% of their total sales in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The company sells their device for ₹26,000. They have made a total revenue of ₹22 lakhs by the time of their pitch.
C3 Med Tech Shark Tank Negotiations & Funding:
Anupam was the first shark to go out of Med Tech negotiations due to a lack of expertise in this field. Namita felt like this would need massive funding and ₹35 Lakhs would not solve it therefore she went out. Aman and Ashneer went out citing that they don’t have expertise in this field.
Peyush offered ₹35 Lakhs for 33.33% of the company with the condition that the company would pause the sales and only work on creating a solution for 1 disease at a time and then bring it to market at an affordable price. The founders took a moment to think and come back to counter at 20% which Peyush declined. Med Tech decided to walk out of the tank without a deal.

How is Med Tech doing after Shark Tank India?
Our research in the Med Tech revealed that while the company did not get a deal, their appearance on the show had a positive impact on the business. It gave them a nationwide exposure and validation which would help in solving this problem at a bigger scale.
As of July 2024, The company is still in business and thriving. In June 2024, they launched a new device, C3 Surgery Recording System. This device will help Eye surgeons record various types of Ophthalmic surgeries for patient education, transparency, and training purposes. We have successfully recorded over 50 surgeries in the last few weeks and received a very good response for the product.
