Ghar Soaps Shark Tank India Negotiations:
Namita exited the company because she had previously invested in a skincare company featured on Shark Tank Season 1. Amit left, citing a lack of depth in their products.
The founders of Ghar Soaps, Sayyam Jain and Sunny Jain, are step-brothers. Sunny Jain’s mother passed away when he was young, and his father remarried, leading to the birth of Sayyam. Tragically, a few years later, their father also passed away. Sayyam’s mom remarried, and he was brought up in that family. Peyush considered it an uninvestable business and emphasized the need for a definitive vision for the company. However, he still extended an offer of ₹60 Lakh for 10%. Anupam matched Peyush’s offer, but Peyush suggested they go in on the same deal, which Anupam accepted.
Aman made a solo offer of ₹60 Lakh for 10%, boasting about being the King of Marketplaces. This led to a shark fight. After some discussions, the company countered with ₹1 Crore for 5%. The entrepreneurs emphasized their concern about valuation, and Aman offered ₹60 Lakh for 4%, which both Peyush and Anupam matched. The entrepreneurs accepted Aman’s offer.
The question arises, did they make the right choice by going with Aman? Let’s find out!
