The Rooftop app provides information on different types and the history of arts, with various courses available on various Indian art forms. These courses are created by national award-winning artists. Additionally, you can book online and offline art workshops through the app. In the last two years, more than 60,000 customers have booked workshops on the app, and Rooftop has partnered with more than 3,000 artists. App provides onsite classes, live video classes, and pre-recorded classes.
Rooftop Financials during Shark Tank India:
Rooftop offers live workshops for 450, a monthly subscription ranging from 1000 to 2000, and certified courses priced at 27,000. For onsite courses, fees vary from 2500 to 8000. The app has 4500 monthly active users and 8500 registered users. In Sep ’23, they achieved sales of 7.5-8 lakhs with a burn of 14-15 lakhs. For FY23-24, they are projecting revenues between 2.25-2.6 Crores. They currently have a maximum runway of 7-8 months

Rooftop was founded by Kartik Gaggar in Mumbai. Kartik’s mother provided a fund of 3.25 crores for the startup.
Rooftop Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:
Vineeta was the first shark to withdraw because the founder was unable to explain what he was doing and lacked knowledge of the market. Namita also decided to step back because the business model was not scalable, and there was too much competition in the market. Aman also exited negotiations because he thought the founder’s answers were not clear. Anupam also opt to out because the founder could not provide clear financial data and also questioned the founder’s knowledge about the business. Deepinder Goyal was the only shark who was initially interested, but after some back-and-forth questions, he also chose to out of negotiations.
How is Rooftop doing after Shark Tank India?
No deal was offered on the Shark Tank show. They are still in business and have a significant following on Instagram, boasting 25.4K followers and 50K+ download on playstore.
