How is Shararat Doing after Shark Tank India?

Shararat Shark Tank India Pitch:

Shararat is a bedroom Fashion brand which appeared on Shark Tank India Season 3 Episode 48. Their product line includes Babydoll Dresses, Teddies, Roleplay Costumes, Gowns, Gift Hampers and Loungewear. They have over 2 Lakh customers till date. Also, The products are available from their own website, marketplaces and offline counters. The founder’s vision is to make Shararat India’s top badroom fashion destination and for that they sought an investment of ₹60 Lakhs for 2% of the company, Valuing the business at ₹30 Crores.

Shararat is targeting the consumers in age group of 25-45 years. Also, The founders added that they are mainly serving upper middle class and middle class consumers. Further, 60% of the sales are come from women and rest are purchased by mens as gifts. Moreover, Intimate wear line makes 35% to the total sales and rest comes from other categories.

Shararat’s Financials & Revenue during Shark Tank India:

Shararat has already raised a round at ₹10 Crore valuation where they raised ₹75 Lakhs for 11% of the company. They have raised another ₹50 Lakhs just before the pitch on a convertable note where with ₹18 Crore floor value.

Shararat made ₹1.2 Crores in FY20-21 followed by ₹2.3 Crores in FY21-22 and they closed last year with revenue of ₹3.3 Crores. The founders shared that they are projecting to close FY23-24 at ₹4.5 Crores as they have already made ₹2 Crores till November 2023. Their revenue for October was at ₹27 Lakhs with burn of ₹2.5 Lakhs. The founders added that they burned around ₹50 Lakhs last year.

Shararat Shark Tank India Negotiations & Funding:

Aman goes out citing he couldn’t connect with this brand. Anupam shared that he couldn’t understand the positioning therefore he goes out as well. Namita shared the same sentiment therefore she goes out as well. Ritesh goes out because he was not happy with the repeat rate of the brand. Amit goes out because he felt like it was a commoditized business.
