Shrawani Engineers is a company that manufactures belly button shapers in India. The owners add that this product can help shape the belly buttons without any medication or surgery. This product has a huge market potential as it could be used by both genders. The company sought an investment of ₹10 Lakhs for 20% of the company, valuing their business at ₹50 Lakhs.
Shrawani Engineers’ products consist of a few items, starting with Sanitizer, which is used to clean bacteria from the belly button. The package also comes with castor oil, which has its own proven benefits. And finally, their own product for correcting and shaping belly buttons. They have helped over 600 people with their products. Their total sales since their inception are at ₹4.8 Lakhs.

Vineeta wasn’t interested in transformative products and had some concerns with the legality of the company’s products; therefore, she went out of the deal. Anupam goes out because it is too early for an investment. Namita wasn’t confident that this product would be successful; therefore, she also goes out. Aman and Ashneer go out, citing that they just were not interested in this investment. Ashneer adds that this product seems like a gimmick and there is no tech in this; therefore, the owners were wasting time on this. He adds that they should shut the business immediately.

How is Shrawani Engineers doing after Shark Tank?
Our research in the company revealed that while they did get initial exposure and a boost due to their appearance on the show, Shrawani Engineers went out of business sometime in 2023. The owner, in a LinkedIn post, claimed that his products were copied and used in markets outside of India, and those companies are running successfully. He also added that the Sharks’ comments on the show negatively impacted the business.
